APPLICATIONS
DYNA-PRO Acrylic is an elasto-plastic one-component sealant
(based on acrylic dispersion) with a maximum movement accommodations
of 15%. This product is meant for sealing joints in indoor
and outdoor applications. DYNA-PRO Acrylic is paintable after
3-hours.
DYNA-PRO
Acrylic offers excellent adhesion to plaster, concrete, masonry,
brickwork, anodized aluminum, gypsum, PVC and wood;
e.g. for sealing joints of windows & doors, rolling-shutter
boxes, ceiling outlets, wall outlets of plastic pipes, cracks,
etc…

HOW TO USE
Surface preparation
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease,
dust and frost.
In case of renovation work, old sealant as well as
old paints must be removed completely. It is recommended
to apply a suitable back-up material (closed cell polyethylene
backer rod or PE-foil) on the bottom of the joint in
order to prevent sticking of the sealant to the back
of the joint.

PRIMING
Porous substrates, e.g. concrete and untreated wood are
to be pre-treated with a diluted sealant (DYNA-PRO Acrylic
with water in a ratio of 1:1 to 1:5). Before applying
primer remove cement grouts, release agents and (oil)-coatings.

HOW
TO APPLY
The sealant can be tooled with water or a neutral
non-dyeing tooling liquid. The operational ability
of DYNA-PRO Acrylic can only be granted in case of
perfect processing according to joint dimensions.
Application of the sealant during extreme temperature
variations should be avoided.

JOINT
DESIGN
The sealant joint width should be designed to accommodate
the movement capability of the sealant.
In general, the minimum joint width should be 6mm.
For joints between 6-12mm wide, a seal depth of 6mm
is recommended. For joints above 12mm wide, a width
to depth ratio of 2:1 should be used, up to a maximum
depth of 12mm.
For joint dimensions greater than 25mm, please contact
DYNA-PRO Technical Service department. In situations
where fillet joints are needed, a minimum of 6mm sealant
bite to each substrate is recommended. Bond beaker
tape or backer rod should be used as back up material
to provide back pressure and avoid three-sided adhesion
that limits sealant movement capability.

LIMITATIONS
DYNA-PRO Acrylic should not be used in sanitary areas, on marble / natural stone, on bituminous substrates and untreated (not primed) metallic substrates.
